Infrastructure around the Temple

by Bhagin R. Kellenberger

Over the last few months, the work has been focused on the interior of the temple, which is progressing very efficiently, as well as building the infrastructure around the Center for free peace.

The indescribably beautiful interior of the temple with the various rooms is no longer open to the public. These rooms will be accessible again as soon as the temple is officially opened.

This approach has its significant reason. The secrets arising in the temple can reveal much to the inner of the person and touch him deeply within upon visiting the temple. If the temple would be opened to visitors during the construction phase, something would be taken from the person in advance and his/her own development could be obstructed by it.

A quarter of the enclosure wall has already been created to stop tourism. Many locals and tourists are curious about the building, which is clearly visible from the street. Furthermore, the temple under construction already radiates a strong light that many people perceive.

Upon entering the area, the welcome house and the welcome shop are created on the left side. Both buildings have a pentagonal floor plan. Here visitors will receive all information about the temple and how to prepare for the visit.

If we continue on our way towards the temple, we reach the house of the guards after about 100 meters. Here are the rooms for the guards, who are responsible for silence and the orderly flow within the temple area. Furthermore, the Guardian House is currently also offering accommodation for the priests.

Turning 90° to the right, our gaze falls directly onto the temple and the stairs leading up to it. On the way there we come upon the bath house on the right hand side, with foot bath, immersion bath, changing rooms and a room dedicated to the Goddess Ganga / Goddess of Water.

Every visitor to the temple has to do at least a foot washing in the bathhouse in order to walk barefoot into the sacred area. Many of the visitors, especially devout Hindus and pilgrims, will even take a immersion bath. During the immersion, usually a mantra or prayer is spoken inwardly for internal and external purification.

After the cleaning, a visit to the temple of the Goddess Ganga is possible, before climbing the stairs through the large gate and reaching the Gangeshvaralinga.

Furthermore, all valuables, cameras, cell phones and shoes are deposited in the bath house to be able to enter the sacred area completely free from everyday items.

In another construction phase, a house for the priests will be built, as well as a large teaching hall and accommodations for the sadhus.

In a third construction phase, a medical center, guest and student houses and shops for local, regional products are planned.
